I arrived in India listening to my mom how much she thought she would love it here. We found our guide and driver but just when we were about to leave daddy just had to go buy a phone chip. We spent almost a whole hour waiting for him to get 2 phone chips. Then finally after a long wait we set off to get to our hotel. When we arrived we went straight to the food and we discovered that they have a huge pool just for birds. I didn't believe it I thought it must have been for something other than birds but I don't know 100%. After a meal we checked out the pool. We were planning to go but my mom and dad got a massage so instead while they were gone we had a little laugh and watched the pink panther, such a lucky guy.
The next day it was 100% touring we got to see the new and old Delhi.
We saw the Red Fort, and we went to two different temples one was a Mosque, which is in the Muslim religion. The other temple was called Sikh and it was in the Sikhism religion.at the Sikh temple they cover their head with turbans and all mothers and fathers come in and make food for any people who want to come and share a meal. They can come in free and have meals and pray from early in the morning until 10pm at night.
We woke up early to set off on our journey for Agra. We are going to get there by train. When I was in the car thinking about what the train would be like I was picturing inside my head a train station like there is in London. My mom and dad said it was a privilege to go on it and would be an experience so I thought it would be something especially for tourists. But it was very different. I don't think there were any tourists except us! Some locals out by the road put rags on their head curled up in the shape of a donut to use as a cushion then they put our heavy suitcases up on top of their heads stacking them 2 suitcases high! They did this plus carried some with their hands. We walked with them from the road up to the train. There were people laying everywhere. Some people had carts with hay. They looked very poor. All I saw were Indian faces. People were sleeping on the ground and we had to step over them. There was trash everywhere. It was disgusting. I don't want to be rude but the sleeping people's feet was all crusted from all their dead skin and dirt and they were black and blue and even a little green in their skin. Their teeth were either gone or yellow or some were even black. Some were half way chipped off. I feel grateful that I have a toothbrush and a way to clean my feet.
When we got off there were a bunch of begging children and they were getting close and touching us and one of the boys had a plumbers crack and he wasn't wearing underwear. My Mom gave a bag of food to one of the girls that was about my sisters age and she grabbed it and ran away like a tiger getting a piece of meat. I felt really bad because our tour guide met us there and he started hitting the kids saying they were professional beggars and their mother pinches them so they start crying and can look sad for tourists like us. In some ways I felt bad and in other ways I felt scared.
