Being a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, the only reason anyone comes here is to visit the fantastic set of underground caves; there's really nothing else of note apart from the odd campsite.
We arrived in the village late on, finding a campsite and settling down for the night after having the leftovers of our shepherd's pie along with microwaved potatoes and beans: well and truly back to the life of a backpacker.
The range of cave activities stretches from mere sightseeing up to blackwater rafting in the darkness of the caves. We opted for the easiest, cheapest and driest option, however - just looking around two of the most spectacular caves and ending up being guided through the caves' waterways in a canoe.
The views were fairly amazing and we even managed to get some photos after a slight run in with the cave-nerd guide: we'd already sneaked a couple of photos before I persuaded Rosa to use the flash, unfortunately nothing got past this guy and he proceeded to give us a ticking off. Don't worry though, we soon had the last laugh with a few sniggers and cowardly jokes at his expense, behind his back, so that was alright.
