Hello all - I have managed to push Ian away from the computer for 5 minutes to allow me acess to "our" blog. So only been a few days, we left Airlie Beach on the overnight bus for Herevy Bay - and arrived 13 hours later - wasn't too bad actually just achey necks, I forced Ian to embrace the "hostel" way of life and we checked into the YHA - double en suite obvioulsy (breaking him in slowly) - he struggled to find the mini bar/air con and ha...

Absolutely amazing day tuesday... Got the Cruise Whitsunday boat from Airlie Beach and headed out to the Barrier Reef via Daydream and Hayman Islands. About 3 hours to get there and so far out when you get there you can't see land in any direction, but wow!, it's incredible! Cruise Whitsunday take you to Knuckle Reef, where they have a pontoon moored up. From there you can snorkle, swim, sunbath and amazingly, we decided to plump for a 30 minute Scuba dive sess...

Made it to Airlie Beach yesterday afternoon... eventually! Great flight up, with some fantastic views of the coast, islands and sea from the plane. As if the travelling time wasn't long enough, we even managed to get a puncture on the bus taking us from Proserpine airport to Airlie beach... it was only about 20 minute delay and what's 20 minutes when you've been travelling for about 24 hours?!! Lazy day today... I loaded our photos on... Rach got her legs waxed...

Made it to Australia in one piece! Fab few days in Japan... awesome place, great people, great cities! Long, long 8 hour flight from Tokyo to Brisbane... got sat near all the mothers with babies and tried to get us moved, but with no success... flashed my Holiday Inn Priority Club card and everything, but no luck!
