So our two and a half months in Thailand are over, we've had an incredible time from cruising around the mountains in the north, exploring national parks and cities in central Thailand to relaxing and partying in the beautiful south islands.
Bangkok is where we spent our first Christmas away from home, it was such a strange feeling but Bangkok became a bit of a home for us, we fell in love with the place instantly. We ended going there 6 times. Koh Chang is where we spent Pete's second birthday away from home and we were fortunate to be able to spend the day riding and washing elephants.
After Christmas it was time to leave Thailand and explore other countries, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Although we had an incredible time in each of these countries, we had had enough of the lousy Laos food and we were pleased to see a McDonalds as soon as we crossed the border to Thailand.
Thailand has so much to offer to suit any type of traveller. We had a brilliant time in the north doing the Mae Hong Son loop stopping in some lovely places, Pai and Soppong where we got to have a lot of fun caving.
The south islands were the highlight for us as Pete's parents came out and met us for two very relaxing weeks in Phuket, we got to go to one of the famous Full Moon Party's and we got to go diving which was just incredible and probably the best thing we did in Thailand.
We were so sad to leave the Land of smiles and all the friendly people but we'll be back for sure!!!!
