From Bikaner we drove to the Thar desert near Jaisalmer for the camel safari. We were greeted with chai and then headed out on the camels. It was quite nerve racking at first, especially when they stand up, but once we relaxed it was fine. We rode out to the sand dunes and watched the sun set. We arrived in Bikaner on Tuesday, we went straight to the fort and bought the audio tour. It was an amazing fort, we learnt about the Maharaja's that have lived their and what the different area's of the fort was used for. Today we left Delhi and our bug filled room and headed to Mandawa in Rajasthan. We have hired a car and a driver (Inder) for the next three weeks as we have been advised by many people that this is the best way to travel here. We spent our last day in Hampi looking at some more temples. We got a tuk tuk (aka auto-rickshaws) to the elephant temple expecting to see some elephants.
