An interesting morning - we didn't expect would happen but kind of knew it may!
We got moving pretty early by our standards as we weren't camping legally in a national park. A ranger walked down and caught us packing up. Gavs bike was within the national park (not the best idea but was very handy) and his drone was out. Uh oh. Luckily we were given a warning by a very stern ranger lady. We apologised and thanked her for only giving the warning. It could have been much much worse ($300 fine ea for camping and over $1000 for the bike being in the park).
What a day. We had an idea that it would be Sunny Adelaide but the closer to the border we rode - the further from the truth. Wet jackets on and braves faces we rode.
We stopped at Mt Gambier for a quick break with about 5 hours of riding to go to get to Roses family's place in Adelaide. It wasn't meant to rain today and the locals aren't used to this kind of weather - apparently it is the after effects of a cyclone in the Kimberley, WA.
Mind you, it's not bad riding I the rain as long as the wet weather gear works ok - so far for us so good.
