Leaving Brisbane in the early evening, we stayed in our very first rest area, yay free night. It was a service station and was actually really nice with hot showers and free wifi because of the McDonalds. There were also BBQ’s for people to use, it was a good choice. The next day we drove to Australia Zoo- Crikey mate!! This was really good; we spent nearly all day there. It is kept so well, and there are so many animals to see. We saw crocs, elephants, snakes...

We left Byron Bay and ended up passing Anouk and Sjoerd in the slow wicked van, all heading in the same direction, towards the Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise. The drive up there was awesome, and driving along the coast was really beautiful, especially when you can see Surfers Paradise across the bay. We left Sydney and headed inland to the Blue Mountains National Park. This was a short drive, and we eventually reached our first town, Leura. We went to Sublime point and Gordon falls reserve, where we did a very steep 2km trek to the waterfall at the bottom. The Blue Mountains were amazing, and very beautiful. We arrived in Sydney and went straight to Bondi beach, it was a really beautiful day and we just relaxed on the beach. We stayed at Sherilee campsite, although it was okay there were lots of cockroaches-gross. There were a few odd balls at the campsite but they were friendly enough. Melbourne- Sydney We drove to Philip Island, which has the same towns as those on the Isle of Wight. I looked like a right freak taking pictures of all the road signs. We went to the Koala conservation centre, where we were able to see Koala’s in their natural habitat. It was really wonderful, we saw about six, and some of them were so close. Mum at one point mistook a bird’s nest to be a Koala- hilarious! Mum bought Charlie a really cute cuddly Koala bear,...
