Leaving Brisbane in the early evening, we stayed in our very first rest area, yay free night. It was a service station and was actually really nice with hot showers and free wifi because of the McDonalds. There were also BBQ’s for people to use, it was a good choice.
The next day we drove to Australia Zoo- Crikey mate!! This was really good; we spent nearly all day there. It is kept so well, and there are so many animals to see. We saw crocs, elephants, snakes, lions, Koala bears and even one- footed Kangaroos (joke). We saw an amazing show at the Crocoseum, and the birds they had were incredible, it was a really good show. Although the crocodiles didn’t do anything out of this world, it was still really good to see them going for their food. We both touched a Koala bear, and Rog fed the Kangaroos, they kinda scared me. We had a really amazing time. Afterwards we drove to the Glass House Mountains, which were spectacular and very much like a landscape you’d find in Thailand.
We stayed in our next rest area, which was really crowded, but free so who cares, it’s also quite good fun. We drove to Noosa the next day, where we both had a shower in the changing rooms on the beach, we’re getting quite skanky. We spent the day in Noosa it’s really nice, with a lovely little high street and a nice little beach. It seemed quite posh. On our drive towards Rainbow beach, we stopped in another rest area, and saw the most amazing sunset with a bright red sky over the mountains.
