What to comment on first. This will be a general update as I have not blogged in a while.
So in no particular order here is life in a nut shell:
Went to Gosford for 2 days to see Dad and Mum and have the car serviced. I went out to North Entrance and saw 2 Humpbacked Whales swimming along the coast. It was great and they were only a few 100 metres off the shore. I watched them for about 30 min and right in front of me one jumped a bit and raise a fin out of the water. Sorry to all the people in Byron Bay paying mega bucks to see whales, the sand dunes at North Entrance are free.
Next piece of huge mega news even better than seeing whales is Pippa has been offered a job in London doing Ecological research relocating reptiles in Essex to be more accurate. But this means she can be my sponsor and we can at last put in the application for a settlement visa.
My registration paperwork arrived and as I passed my English language test (and have the certificate to prove it) I can also get my British Nursing Registration started.
Some of the less neurologically challenged staff at my work place have found out that there appears to be gaps in the roster, so I have started being booked in advance again. Funny that so many of the gaps are where I was originally booked for. I guess it is a clash of the neurons to understand the link between cancelling staff and gaps in the roster.
There was an interesting radio interview of ABC Canberra last week with the CEO defending the lack of senior staff in our department. This could lead to us losing our accreditation. At last someone has contacted the media and blown the whistle on the disaster that is the management.
Anyway enough nastiness, things have taken a few really good steps forward for getting to England before the end of the millennium, perhaps even before the end of the year.
