We woke after another night "on the boards" of the cabin. There was a white-out with visibility only about 150 metres. Temperature minus 8 degrees. The dogs must have known that it was the last day as they were particularly excited this morning. The hitch up was even more frantic. Of course we are sitting on the sled while they are being hitched. One dog decided he liked the look of me and came and peed down my leg as it was hanging over the sides of the sled. ...

Today was an adventure day. We will stay at the same cabin tonight and do some adventuring around this area. The temperature was minus 11, but again no wind and virtually a cloudless sky-another perfect day. The visitors book in the cabin highlights the special nature of this area and it is also a popular place to visit in summer time when the ocean thaws and ice flows and icebergs abound. Day 2 dog sledding and we woke to a temperature of minus 22 degrees, cold; but at least there wasn't any wind. It was a beautiful calm day, the wind had stopped and the sun was shining. A glorious day in Liverpool Land, Greenland. Breakfast was toast, left over musk ox mince, hot drinks, muesli if we wanted it. We had all slept reasonably well and were all eager to get started. A shared breakfast at the guesthouse and we were ready to go. We were picked up by snowmobile with a wooden trailer and given a rough ride through the settlement and dropped just outside the village on the ice and snow covered bay; and told to wait for the dog sleds to arrive. Linda, Aaron and I were standing there for about 15 minutes - waiting. Narelle and Kel were about 400 metres away, but they were next to their guide and dogs. Ours were nowhere to be seen. ...
