Hiya everyone, Yet another big adventure today !! - we've both been absieling and it was fantastic !!! We got picked up at 7 and were still 1/2 asleep when they took us to 'Natures Window' - a beautiful lookout spot that we re-named 'hole in the rock' After that it was off to the absieling site and we soon woke up when we got to see the cliff face ...it was probably about 90 feet - the first 10 or so were ragged then the rest was pretty flat. It was really hard to climb in and out of the canyon and Shell did great - even with her dodgy knee !! We got to do 3 abseils backwards - and they even let the honeymooners go together which was cute (see postcard pic..) After that we were all starting to get a bit cocky - jumping down the cliff face - but that was soon sorted out when they told us that it was time to go forward !!! Rob has done a few abseils years ago but never forward and Shell was pretty nervous about it !!! Rob was one of the first to go forward which involved sitting on your bum and shuffling forwards off the edge of the cliff and then leaning forward and RUNNING down the cliff !!! ('yeah - right' i can hear you all saying ). Rob did his 2 suicide jumps but Shell still wasn't sure and waited right till the end - everyone else was at the bottom shouting support when suddenly Shelley appeared going forwards !!! - and she did a great job as well - bombing down that cliff (i think that had something to do with the fact that she wanted it over with as soon as poss!!!!) After the abseils we got to go swimming in some natural pools at the bottom of the gorge which was a bit more chilled out (definetley more Shell's thing..) then we had to climb out of the gorge which was probably the toughest thing of the whole day but we made it safe and sound ....
