Rob and shelley on tour
hiya
We have today made our way from Mission Beach to Paronella Park. We had planned to do a trip from Mission Beach (gateway to the WhitSunday islands) but unfortunately it was cancelled at the last minute due to high winds.
We stumbled across this place and were about to turn back when we realised we had to pay 20 dollars to get in, we thought it was expensive to go into a national park. The bloke gave us a 2 for 1 special and we got everything but a national park, it was beautiful.
The bloke and his wife had bought the park 10 years earlier and had restored it to its original glory. The Paronella family had owned it previously and the current owners were determined to keep the Paronella familys dreams alive.
The park boasts beautiful waterfalls, a castle, turtle ponds, secret underground tunnel, draw bridge and acres of grounds. We took a guided tour around the grounds and watched an aboriginal show.
All in all, we had a great day and would thoroghly recommend it.
Bye for now, we will update you from our next place.
