Hiya from Arlie Beach Its really lovely here, there is a lagoon right in the middle of the shopping area (see photo) its free and people just hang out ( or kick back as the ozzies say) all day, its so chilled. We have both been here for the last 2 mornings and had a swim and sunbathe. We have stayed for the fisrt time in a carvan park, its called the Big 4 and we got a really nice surprise. We have an ensuite cabin, massive swimming pool, tennis courts, movies rooms and everything and its still cheaper than what we would pay in a hostel. They are a little out of town, but we prefer that and we have a car anyway. We were due to go on a Whitsundays island tour today (Airlie beach is in the gateway to the Whitsunday islands) but we had a phone call last night to say it was cancelled due to the high winds. It certainly doesnt feel windy but they obviously know what they are talking about. What a shame, we will have to chill out some more instead. Heading off to Townsville tomorrow to meet up with a friend that we met on the conections, New Zealand tour. It seems like ages ago since we were on the tour and we cant believe that we are nearly half way through our trip. Catch you soon Love Shelley and Rob
