G'day from Hervey Bay/ Fraser Island we have arrived here today and the sun is shining shining shining. We have found a fabulous apartment for backpacker prices and its marvellous, even has a laundry room, always wanted a laundry room. We have chilled today on the beach and had a yummy swim in the pool. Off to Fraser Island tomorrow and not too sure what to expect, Jo has given us some good comments so we will wait and see. Wow, been to Fraser Island and it was amazing, we paid that little extra for the comfy bus and boy did it make a differrence, leather seats and sweeties...very bumpy and I was at the ready to put my first aid skills to use for the 81 year old war veteran sitting next to us. I wasnt too good getting to the island as those of you who know me, I havent got sea legs (clare and sarah - remember the dolphin trip!) so took a little while to get my bearings. The island is fantastic, so deserted and I especially liked the notice on the side of the bus which read "Dingoes.....on the island....if they attack you....defend yourself strenuoudly" needless to say we all stuck together like glue thoughout the trip. The food was wonderful and we wish we had the time to stay over on the island. Jo I know why you stayed there now.
