Well After leaving Santiago and heading down south to start a stint of trekking I never thought that I would actually go back there. We ending up making a detour on our way to Buenos aires. The detour started with a visit to Pucon where I climbed a live volcano. We were very lucky as Malc and lucy had been waiting there for 3 days to climb it, but due to bad weather they did not get the green light. Anyway me and Si landed there and went up the next day. Once again we had a pace like legends and were one of the first up to the top. We could of been the first if we did not have a limp wristed Ozzy in our group. So after Pucon this is where the detour started and the fun began in Santiago. The top and bottom of this story is that most people you meet do not like Santiago, and me and Si really really do. We stayed in a wicked hostel called Hostel chile, and the owner was young and enjoyed getting lashed. We had a 5 day bender which left me emotionally scared, and on the 5th day I saw what can only be described as a head fu+k. ¨The Arm¨thats what it will be called for ever more. I s*** thee not I saw a man with one arm, which was the size of a giants arm. It was so desturbing that I could not speak for 10 minutes, and have not stopped thinking or talking about it since. I thought I was just wrecked from 5 days of abuse, but people at the hostel had seen him and say he always hangs around the corner from the hostel. WHen I say it was big, it was maybe 7 times the size of a normail arm. It looked like he had stolen it from a greek adonis statue from Athens it self. Or if you have seen Hellboy that would give you and idea. It was massive to say the least, and how much can i go on about it. That in its self should indicate how big it was, and how it effected me. Anyway whilst we were heading upto santiago we met a top lass called amanda (who is on the rafting pictures from Bariloches). We met up with her in santiago and had a barrell of laughs with her. Look forward to meeting up with her at christmas as she manages models for Select down in London Town. On the last night we met a Serbian who really was a unique killing beast for sure. Not only did he just talk about theft and money scams, but whilst we were all talking in the TV room with some random film playing in the back ground, he saw a scene where a man caught his wife in bed with another man. As soon as he saw it he stated shouting slang at the women in the form of Slag, Slut, w**** and more, and then with no warning he just shouted out. She need's f***ing killing and made the most realistic impression of killing someone with a silenced pistol in the back of the head, that me and Si had ever seen, i swear the noise was just perfect, and his technique was also perfect. Suffice to say we knew straight away that this 27 year old serbian was a cold blooded killer for sure. He then went into the pool room and started to do martial arts with some random fella. Very scary in deed. Santiago is a great city with great looking people, well mainly women as the blokes are scruffy. I would say that if you plan to go to chille you have to go to Santiago, thats for sure.
