Today we headed out to little Milton in Oxford to visit the village where not only my grandad was born and buried but also where my Daddy was born. On getting to the village I was filled with mixed emotions some happy some sad it was kind of exciting to be seeing the place where so much history on my fathers history began. On getting to little Milton we found my granddads house where he was born and lived and then we found the church yard and his grave which to me was in quite a bad state of repair I will admit I found this very distressing as this is a war grave and it is ment to be accessible and in good repair the headstone is but the access to it is far from easy all I can say was that there was a lot of coincidences ,and that I had a huge cry.we tidied up around his grave as much as we could and then went to the local pub he use to go to and had lunch I called the parish warden who was an absolute delight and let us into the church and gave me a lot of information on my grandad Peter, he was so pleased that I had made the journey and gave me a hug and said to let my emotions out. Rob and I the went on to A little seaside town called Bridlington where my grandparents first lived when they were married, not that they were married for long when my grandad was killed I think it was 18 months or 2 years so unfair
