After a lovely stay in a B&B in Bridlington we headed to What use to be Lissett airfield and is now a wind farm we were looking for the memorial for 158 squadron it is amazing set in the side of the road a statue if a group of airmen loom through the wild flowers before you. We pulled over upon getting out if the car all the turbines stopped out was amazing, we finally found Peters name after frantic searching on my part and Rob telling me it would be ok he would be there, we found his name my heart entered my throat and I sobbed and sobbed after talking to my daddy the night before I found out that my grand parents Peter Milton and Bridget Annie were only together for nine months as my daddy was born 6 weeks after his father had perished. We then drove on till little Atwick where there was rumored to be a field where there was a memorial where that plane had crashed, Rob and I located this too Rob more than I, it was the most peaceful beautiful place we cleaned up around the memorial spent a bit of time in thought and for me some prayer and thanks . We had a ale in the black horse the local pub in little Atwick and moved on to the Aviation museum who closed at 5pm only to be told at 3.30 there was no more admissions for the day so we drove on and stayed at the royal mecure in hull for the night.
