Roaminallover-Here, There and Everywhere
Sunday 11th August
Those of you familiar with our last expedition to Australia may remember the Blue Mountains guide with a knack for stating the obvious – That building is known as "the wooden hut" 'cause it's a wooden hut. Well today we met one of his female relatives at the Harbourside market. “The ones at the back are sleeveless and the ones at the front have sleeves” Must stop wearing the dark glasses and taking the Labrador out with me.
We had a great morning down at the Coffs harbour Harbourside markets. The sun was shining and the market was really close to the beach and the surf. We walked onto Muttonbird island and watched a pod of dolphins swim past. Unfortunately we were a couple of weeks too early for the whale migration- but the dolphins made up for that. We also saw a few large skinks and a selection of different flowers.
Having built up an appetite we returned to the outdoor market for lunch- putting together an Asian feast of sushi, and Thai food- John’s first Sushi experience- yes Andrew- he has finally succumbed. Think it might be a while before he starts rolling his own at home – but we have crossed the start line.
Lots of pics today of Coffs harbour ...so off you go and have a look ........i’ve got to sign off its Australian X factor night !
