Early start - bus trip to 90 Mile Beach at very north of the North Island with Sand Safaris. -Stop offs at Gum Tree Park (wouldn't spend the day there Denis), Kauri wood museum. -Indulge in a little 'sand boarding' - going down massive sand dunes on boards and then climbing back up to do again - deep burns! -Reach most northly point Cape Reigna - light house - where Tasman Sea meets Pacific Ocean. -Drive back along 90 Mile Beach in bus - see car that didn't think the tides through and is buried 4ft under the sand - bye bye car!! Head to Paiai in Bay of Islands - pick up 3 massive fresh fish on the way from a mate in petrol station. Desperately try to 'get our fillet on' but due to absence of apron, sharp knives / artillery, culinary skills abondon idea and give fish to foreign chief at local Sea food resturant - one happy boy, two hungry Buzzas!!
