Today we travelled on a night bus for about 16 hours we then stopped briefly in Hanoi to get breakfast then got our next coach and ferry which took another 5 hours! First glimpse of Hanoi remind me somewhat of Phnom Penh in Cambodia, it appears at first sight to not have a lot of tourism, but we have only been in a small area so far. Citadels, museums and a lot of tanks: Today is our last day in Hue, home of the citadel of Vietnam which marks one of the bloodiest battles in the 2nd indochina war against America. We decided to visit the site which once housed a small working town with defenses. Though not much of the original site remains some buildings have been rebuilt to mimic the originals. On the gates, doorways and walls that remain you find various bullet holes that appear to trail off...

Arriving in hue you quickly notice the difference between not having that sea breeze we had in Nha Trang! But a similar styled town which is nice. We quickly found our new local, the DMZ bar which had free pool, World Cup football and friendly staff. we played a member of staff at pool and he one every game. a nice chilled day.

Coral reefs and many exotic fish! Today we left our hotel early after a massive breakfast, which consisted of bacon (i do miss bacon) eggs and assorted tropical fruit. Best breakfast in ages! We then got a minibus to the local harbour where we had booked a tour of the coral reefs on a junk boat with a load of other backpackers. There is I motorbike for every two people in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) that is a total of 5 million and it feels like they are all on the road at once! So the fact at the top summarizes how manic the roads are in this city.
