Floating mountains in Halong:

So today we had another boat trip with the great Asia outdoors team who took us for a day of rock climbing in Halong bay. The bay is full of tall islands and at the base of the islands the water erosion gives the appearance of a floating mountain, spectacular. We saw more of the area and got to do a load of climbing and descending on some pretty high walls. After this we went back to find a hotel as our one we had been staying at was fully booked. Not knowing it was a Vietnamese holiday we began our search for a place to stay. EVERY hotel (and there's a lot) was full or didn't want to know luckily we had met some Californian girls who where in the same position who had also been climbing so we must have found the last place with an affordable room. It had one bed, so Sam and I being true gents gave it to the girls and took we took the floor. We then went to the bar and had a few drinks with the Asia outdoors team and I beat Vietnams number one rock climber at pool. All in all, pretty standard day in Vietnam ;)
