Citadels, museums and a lot of tanks: Today is our last day in Hue, home of the citadel of Vietnam which marks one of the bloodiest battles in the 2nd indochina war against America. We decided to visit the site which once housed a small working town with defenses. Though not much of the original site remains some buildings have been rebuilt to mimic the originals. On the gates, doorways and walls that remain you find various bullet holes that appear to trail off...

Arriving in hue you quickly notice the difference between not having that sea breeze we had in Nha Trang! But a similar styled town which is nice. We quickly found our new local, the DMZ bar which had free pool, World Cup football and friendly staff. we played a member of staff at pool and he one every game. a nice chilled day.
