27/2/10 - day 80.

got up at half 8 feeling better than yesterday. went down to another sports bar id found yesterday that advertised showing a load of football. i watched birmingham vs wigan followed by stoke vs Arsenal. chanced a sauasge and egg roll and thoroughly enjoyed the games - particularly our victory. the fella behind the bar was from england and he'd told me when i got there chelsea had earlier lost to man city so all in all a great morning! in fact, had i known they were showing it at 6:45 that morning im pretty sure id have been up! watched the games with a canadian guy (dean) who was also an Arsenal fan and his knowledge of world football was ridiculous. he'd watched it all over the world - europe, the americas and africa. we hung around to continue to football marathon and watched real madrid beat tenerife before going back to the hostel late afternoon.

rest of the day was basically just spent online, risking eating bits of food and hanging out at the hostel chatting to an annoying american guy who for some reason kept talking about genetics. went to bed about 10pm. as i was nodding off i felt an itch on the back of my neck. went to scratch it and was horrified when my fingers came into contact with something other than my skin! i pincered it between my fingers and hurled it against the wall without seeing what it was - im not a fan of exotic bugs in my bed.
