3/3/10 - day 84. itchy nights sleep and when i woke up i saw why. my right foot had so many bitess on it, it looked like bubble wrap. went for breakfast of a massive pile of fruit, granola, yoghurt and honey. was so good. i can sum up the rest of the day very easily. lay on the beach for a bit, came back for lunch, had a siesta, went back to the beach for the rest of the afternoon. didnt need to eat the rest of the day, maybe its the heat but 2 meals seems ...

1/3/10 - day 82. up at 8, waited outside the hostel for the bus to the beach. monterrico is only about 3 hours south of antigua and i had decided it was where i wanted to spend my final week. there was an american family on the bus who had been travelling around guatemala the last couple weeks on a package tour with FORTY(!) other people and a tour guide for every place they visited. i over heard them saying they'd stayed somewhere for just 80 bucks a night. t...
