After an early start we headed from Port Fairy up to the Grampians National park, we thought the previous day involved a lot of straight desserted road but this was something else!! It took us 2hours to get to the national park and along the way we saw a huge Kangaroo jump out infront of the car and across the road, if we had been going any quicker we would have been eating Kangaroo sandwhiches for the rest of the trip!! Kangaroo's do get hit quite often we saw at least 5 dead on the side of the road on our way up (and on the way back strangely enough!)
When we got the th Grampians because we had our own car we could get to all the lookout point that tour buses and caravans couldnt get to. This was great and driving the winding roads was good fun. All the views from the lookouts were amazing but the best was the Mackenzie falls which were beautiful.
We (slowly) headed back down to the main town and grabbed some lunch. THen headed back down the 2hour stretch of road. We got to one really flat bit and Hannah decided she wanted a go. So we swapped and whilst i was clinging to my chair and buckling up!!! (under my expert tuition) Hannah hit the open road! She loved driving and we went for quite a while down the road. After the buzz i think Hannah wanted to carry on but we swapped back and headed for Port Campbell on the Great Ocean Road.
