Hi Everyone!!!

We both have really enjoyed our time here in Byron Bay. Its a really nice place with lovely beaches, views and a good town with plenty of character. Prob our favourite coastal town we have been to yet.

Our first hostel was not good horrible dirty kitchen and small dorms with to many people so we moved to a much nicer one only 20 seconds from the beach! On our first day we went to Tallow Beach which was empty. We got our first view of the light house from here. We aslo hired bikes from the horrible hostel which did not have any brakes!!!! I did not like going down hill until Rich realised that peddling backwards stopped the bike. They were rusty old things and made so much noise.

Next day we took the very long and hilly walk to the light house. Its was a very tough walk with steep hill climbs but was well worth it. There were great views on the way up and we saw wild dolphins and turtles! When we finally reaches the light house we got a picture with the sign saying 'the most easterly point in australia'. All of this was great but did not compare to the ice cream we had at the top, it was voted top 10 in Australia yum yum!

After the long walk back down to the hostel we headed straight for the beach and had a swim. Sea is so clear here. In the evening we headed to 'cheeky monkeys' with some friends for a 5 dollar beer and burger, was amazing and cheaper than cooking.

We head for SYDNEY tonight!!!! both of us are very excited. going to head straight to the opera house. Some of our friends we have met along the way are also there so gonna go out and catch up with them.
