It has come to the fourth week of my travels and the pages left in my journal are quickly running out. In order to continue to document my travels, I have decided to continue the remaining ten weeks on here.
Already there have been so experiences that have quickly come and gone. In order to get this blog up to date I will quickly overview the past four weeks.
So, from the beginning.
Two girls. South America. Thirteen weeks.
My best friend Katie and I left the United Kingdom on the 1st June for three months of travelling. With my longest trip so far standing at two weeks in Malia and with less than desirable Spanish skills, we embarked to spend the next few months trying to navigate our way through seven countries. This trip would most definitely take us both out our Essex comfort zone.
So far we have been to Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador and we are currently on the last leg of a week long your of the Galápagos Islands.
For a quick and easy update, the top ten highlights so far have been.
1. Cannopying in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
2. The National Park and Hostel Vista Serena in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.
3. Giant Tortoises, Sea Lions and Penguins in the Galapagos.
4. Snorkelling in the Galapagos, San Cristobal.
5. Hot Springs Spa in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
6. Drinking in Boca del Toros, Panama. (Hostel Heike)
7. Visiting the Presidential Palace in Quito, Ecuador.
8. Dolphin watching and Red Frog Beach, Boca del Toros, Panama.
9. Yoga in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica.
10. Reggae Music in Montezuma, Chico's Bar, Costa Rica.
We return back to Quito at the end of the week, before then beginning out journey to Peru.
