The first stop with Jucy (our campervan) was Kaikoura. Kaikoura was hit by an earthquake in November 2016 and the road repairs are not finished yet.

While the whale watching trip was the reason and the highlight of our little detour to Kaikoura, we also enjoyed the seals, the beautiful walks and a nice irish dinner including Guiness.
