Due to the weather forecast we spent one night at lake Pukaki before driving up to Mount Cook village. The area was worth the night stop and the couple of warm up walks we did were very nice. We also got rewarded with beautiful views of Mount Cook on the way in.

As weather was great we spent many hours hiking the tracks around Mount Cook, enjoying the beautiful views of mountains, glaciers and lakes that made the sore muscles well worth it.
