Well this is it - time to start out on our journey home with just a couple of days in Dubai between us and Romsey.

All our packing was done last night so we were all ready and waiting for Ben at 8.00am when he took us to the airport for our flight to Perth. Goodbyes are so hard and we have had such a great two weeks with Ben and Lauren who have made us so welcome into their lovely home. It's been a really special time and we take very precious memories home with us.

We visited the School of the Air, the Road Transport Museum and the Telegraph Station during our time in Alice and learnt so much. Plus Uluru and Kings Canyon.

The very best news is that Ben has booked a flight home in August and will spend three weeks in the UK so we know that we will be seeing him again in 16 weeks. It would have been really hard to have waved goodbye not knowing when we'd be with him again. Unfortunately Lauren can't make it over this time round but we hope to see her in the UK soon.
