Friday 2nd January was a big occasion for us as flew in to New Zealand. So many of our family and friends have told us how wonderful NZ is and now we are here to experience it for ourselves. A great flight with China Airlines. An early night at an airport hotel and then we pick up our camper van up first thing in the morning. We can't wait for the fun to start.

January 1st started late, we managed to surface about 10am after quite a night! A quick phone and we were making our way to Darling Harbour to meet our friend Jenn. Today was really hot 30 plus degrees. We had a great catch up over lunch in one of our favourite places in the world. During the afternoon we made our way over the bay to Manly, it has a great beach with huge waves crashing in. Another brilliant day and a great start to 2015.

What a day - we woke early and got out on to the local bus down to Circular Quay. People here are so friendly and we had already made several bus stop friends and by the time we got to our stop today several more passengers had given us hints and tips. We spent a lot of the day on the water using the ferries to move to and from Darling Harbour. We waved goodbye to Asia and were very sad that our time there had come to an end, we had a wonderful time, great experiences and met some lovely people. After a nine hour night flight we arrived into Sydney at 08.45 and hopped on to the airport link train into the city and checked into our hotel. By 1.00pm we had joined our pre booked bicycle tour of Sydney which was a great way to see the city and the highlight of the afternoon was cycling over the bridge. Co...
