We actually made it. Our connection at Paris was a little tight because security was convinced I have a belly button ring. Which I do not. Juliette is neurotic about travelling. Arielle acts as though she has taken muscle relaxants. Together, we make it through okay. Air France food was pretty awesome (minus Arielle's yogurt). We had our first legal drink mid-air (I had champagne and Arielle had red wine. With a screw top). Arielle took both the pillow and the eye mask. So she slept. Juliette suffered. Arielle claims to have slept only half an hour. Which is still half an hour more than Juliette. Juliette drank a lot of coffee though. We ate two breakfasts. The house in cuges is just as I remember it as a child. Hugo and Lucas are asleep (clearly our arrival is not exciting enough for them) but we are planning to go into town today to buy a cell phone and take a little tour of the village. After, I believe we are meeting more of my family. My french is better than I expected but it is not perfect (I forgot the words for illegal, knife, and before). We are very happy. A little tired but ready for the epic trip ahead. We cannot wait to give you all more updates. Bisous, Juliette
