We arrived in Ho Chi Minh around 2pm and went straight to the hostel we stayed in at the start of our trip. They didn't have the triple room available that we originally stayed in so we opted for dorm beds which were very interesting. They were large wooden 'capsules' that had their own light and plug sockets in and were actually very spacious and comfortable.
We dropped off our things and headed straight to the market to spend the rest of our vietnamese dong on souvenirs before it closed. After some ruthless negotiating skills (now that we were pros at haggling) we got everything we wanted and went back to the hostel for a quick shower and change and ventured out for a last street food meal. We found a nice BBQ place where we had some yummy pork and beef skewers with rice and a couple of beers. At about 10pm we decided to call it a night and try and get a couple of hours sleep before having to leave for the airport at around 2am.
So our Vietnamese adventure finally came to an end and we commenced the long journey home to Heathrow. It really has been an amazing two and a half weeks. Each city was different to the last and offered new experiences to be had, plus we got to meet some pretty cool people along the way. I've also learned that three is not always a crowd... not if you're travelling with such awesome people as Lowri & Louisa who made the trip even more incredible. I love you guys... here's to the next adventure!!
