Well I've officially finished uni for 3 weeks, and what better way to spend the time off than doing some more travelling?! It's been nearly 3 years since my last backpacking adventure, and as I never got round to finishing off my blog I thought i'd bring it back for another chapter.
So me, Lowri and Louisa (who we met in New Zealand) are jetting off to Vietnam (today... we're at the airport now!) and won't be back until 28th December. The plan is to fly into Ho Chi Minh for a few days, fly up north to Hanoi, then travel south down the coast and stop in Hoi An, Nha Trang and Dalat, then back to Ho Chi Minh for the flight home. It's going to be interesting trying to get our heads around the currency, but quite cool that we're currently millionaires as theres around 26,500 Vietnamese dong to the pound. Lowri is already getting all confused thinking she has 82 million dong to spend for her two week trip haha!
Anyway, the next entry should be more exciting. And I'll update as often as I can so you worriers can relax.
Speak soon! Xx

Dad Hi Jess, the setting out on an adventure is always exciting, even if it involves long queues at Heathrow. Wishing all the best for the next stage - and hoping for lots of photos! Not quite on your scale, this weekend we've done: Cambridge, Ely, Kings Lynne, Danbury (twice) and Heybridge. Now, finally, back in Cardiff. Lots of love, Dad & Mags
Mum (Judy) Hey Jess, Fab photo and VERY impressive Christmas tree. I tried to rate your entry (as it suggested I could) as five star cos it was but I did it wrong and it only came out as two (and it's obviously much better than two) so just ignore that if you can see it and I will try harder next time to get it right. Happy travelling. Looking forward to reading the new entries. Lots and lots of love, Mum xxx
Stepdaddy (Andy) Jess, thanks for your quality control on the Christmas decorations before you set off! Stay safe...... by the time you read this the Chinese will have let you pass though Beijing! Looking forward to hearing about / seeing pictures of your culinary and other adventures. Ps..... I fixed the blog entry star rating thing to reduce your Mums embarrassment! Well up to 4 stars anyway! xxxxxx......
