Caught the overnight bus and ferry from Bangkok on 9th Oct and arrived in Kho Tao the following morning. Arrived in Bangkok 5am on the 6th Oct....the bus didn't drop us on the Kaosan as promised so felt a bit disorientated as had no idea where I was so jumped in a tuk tuk with a couple of people I met on the bus and checked in to Popiang guesthouse. 5th OctoberAnna, Lisa and I hired bikes to check out Patuxay Memorial (built on the capital's main north-south avenue in the 1960s to celebrate the independence struggle) and the main Wat (have forgotten the name though!). Pretty much a flying visit to Vientiene as jumped on the overnight bus to Bangkok that evening.
