Colleen & Tom's Explorations
We arrived home uneventfully on the Tuesday morning.
On the Wednesday we attended Westmead Hospital pre-admission clinic for routine paperwork and blood tests. We also bought a new digital TV.
On Thursday we did the groceries and organised food for the next few weeks.
On the Friday my ovarian cancer (the size of an 8 month foetus) was successfully removed. Six weeks later I commenced 3 months of chemotherapy and then returned to work.
I think the holiday and cruise were a wonderful preparation - all the good food, rest and pampering put me in a really good place physically, mentally and emotionally to deal with the cancer treatment.
