Arrived in Vang Vieng late this morning by bus. It was an eventful journey to say the least. Firstly we stopped off at the top of the mountain and one of the locals got on the bus to check it out - he had an AK 47 on him! Its been raining heavily for days over here and we were stuck for ages because big landslides had covered the road - A digger was need to clear a path.

Now that were here VV the river is severly swollen with part the town is under water. Everyone comes here for 'tubing' (google it if your not sure what it is), but the river is too dangerous at the minute. All most every bar here has Friends, Family Guy or The Simpsons on all day!

Think were gonna try rock climbing in the next few days. The area is just surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs - amazing scenary.

The money over here is crazy -1 million Kip is about 60 quid! I have a wallet full of notes but they aint worth much lol
