Made it out of Lesotho in one piece and got a drop-off to Bloemfontein. After the hellish 24 hours spent in Naval hill backpackers on the way to my home away from home, I started to feel a little better. Wonder if it had something to do with the fact I got all kinds of funky meds from a heart surgeon who happened to be around with his buddy dermatologist who gave me a cream for my burnt face. Experienced an eventful bus ride from Bloem to Oudtshoorn on Intercape (which is actually a good company). After the bus finally showed up an hour late, two hours later it resigned at a garage somewhere on the road between Bloem and Oudtshoorn. I had just thought to myself what a great vehicle we had.. After an hour waiting we got a new coach under us, straight from the 80's and rattling like hell as it went along. This really is the worst busride one could get with an upset stomach.
After an 11 hour journey (which was supposed to be less then nine) finally made it to Oudsthoorn and seeing the friendly faces at backpackers paradise, I felt much better instantly. Regardless of my more jolly mood still paid a visit to the doctor and got back on good old Ciprols.. The following few days just went by spending time with good friends, both human and feline. KitKat is doing great and is still the loveliest little furball. Brought a toy for the cubs too and it was somewhat of a success. Made new friends from the beautiful Inesh, Anandi and Priya; the three white bengal tiger cubs with the biggest character. All in all, all is well under the sun..
Today heading to the Wild Coast on the Bazbus and will hopefully bump into an old friend and make a few new ones.
