Greetings from scorching Djenne, arrived a few minutes ago from the bordertown of Koro and so far enjoying the beauty and warmth of Mali. Yesterday was insanely hot, after a relatively easy border crossing, enjoyed sights from the roof seats at the back of Madge. Morning started with a shower without any lights in it, just the first beams of sunlight and a little help of my torch. By now that shower is only a distant memory and dust has dyed my clothes and skin brownish. I swear there is sand in the keyboard as well :D After tonight*s roof camping, gonna enjoy a tour of the city and take the mandatory pics of the mud mosque. Will also have time to check out the monday market, sounds like souvenir shopping.. Is a bit surreal to be online in Djenne to be honest, the streets between the mud buildings don*t have names and certainly no paving. Tomorrow off to Bandiagara for the start of the Dogon trek, keep your thumbs up the weather cools down before that.
