We picked up the camper van yesterday and headed to the Blue Mountains. The van is quite nice and very comfortable. It does allow us to get off the beaten track. We are meeting lots of great people along the way from all over the world. Last night had "appies" with a couple from
Switzerland. The campgrounds are really nice with excellent amenities. There are Cockatoos everywhere at the campgrounds. Very pretty with pink and yellow heads. They are quite chatty to say the least. The Aussies are talking about the terrible weather USA is having right now with the snowstorms. It is big news here as the paper headline today said "winter storms paralyze one third of the states".
The weather here is much more comfortable in the mountains with temps in the 80's and not humid.
