Today Nancy and I are departing Sydney and flying to Brisbane, to begin our costal adventure. The last few days have been a whirlwind of activity. On Sunday morning we purchased tickets for the hop on hop off bus tour. The bus ran two separate routes, one through town and one out to Bondi Beach. We went searching for local street markets and found two. The first market was at The Rocks up by the Sydney Harbour. The booths were packed with local jewelry, clothing and handcrafted items. We made sure to help support local artists. :) The other market was out by Bondi Beach and had more of a garage sale/flea market vibe. Traveling the bus gave us a great chance to learn about the local sights as well as beautiful views. Though I have learned it is very hard to try and take pictures from the top of a double high bus. Yesterday Nancy went on her bridge climb where she climbed to the top of the Harbour Bridge. Nancy says they climbed for two hours, about twice as long as it took to put on the safety gear required to up 440 feet. There was a beautiful 360 degree view and she could see almost to the ocean. While Nancy was climbing I was walking through the Paddington section of town on my way to Bondi Junction. The walk was about twice as long as I had expected. I was on a quest to find a beach towel for less that 60.00 which I did find at good old Target. Only 10.00. I went to enjoy Bondi Beach before meeting back up with Nancy that afternoon to go to the Sydney Aquarium. In my honest opinion Seattle has a much nicer aquarium because we have more water animals besides fish. They did have an impressive collection of sharks though. We wrapped up our last morning today by heading back down to the Opera House and taking some pictures. We now board the plane for Brisbane and our journey up the coast.
