Nimbin was once a hippy town which was sort of a law unto its self and did as the locals pleased. However, when we went it did seem that the locals were basically victims of their own self doing and had ruined their town and lives with the local export (cannabis) It is still a fascinating place to visit and very interesting to see, as its almost like a theme-park full of drug addicts. We had food there, even though it took the chef over an hour and we were the only people in the cafe, he was clearly stoned out of his nut. We then wandered round the "museum" which was a weird experience in itself. The girls bought some tasty looking cookies from the cafe in the museum and me and Dan purchased some of the local produce from the locals... and then we drove to surfers. The drive in and out of Nimbin was through a national park past Mt Warning which is really scenic and enjoyable, also doing drive by photography is my new sport and has some amazing results. So now we are in surfers living it up.
