Hello from Montevideo where the steaks are huge and Julien is very happy! In fact he said the sirloin he had today at the Mercado del Puerto was one of the best steaks he`s tasted in his life. And coming from a Frenchman, that`s true praise...

Hello from Argentina, the penultimate country of our tour. We celebrated Julien´s birthday in style last week, starting the day in a nice hotel room, with a jacuzzi bigger than our whole bathroom in Cambridge! Then we set sail from Punta Arenas on our cruise to Cape Horn just before dinner. The whole ship sang Happy Birthday to him and we all shared his rather large birthday cake. It was a lovely day and a great cruise.

Brrrr!!! It´s cold down here! We´re in Chilean Patagonia, visiting the beautiful Torres del Paine national park (in the photo) with its glaciers, mountains and abundant wildlife. Hi Guys! We´re upping the pace now, as time is sadly running out. I can´t believe how quickly this year has passed and whilst we´re looking forward to catching up with all of you when we get back, we´ve still got lots of places we´re dying to see before then. Hello All, We`ve had a tiring, but satisfying time visiting the sacred valley, the high point of course being a visit to Machu Picchu. Unfortunately it was rainy and foggy when we arrived and the first few photos look like pea soup! It cleared up later though, but then the vicious flies came out to bite us! Nevertheless, we really loved it. We`re leaving Cusco tonight for Arequipa and the Colca Canyon.
