We drove off towards Livingstone and had our first puncture of our entire journey so far…it took long to repair it so we all just sat on the road side reading books or sunbathing. We finally headed off to Vic Falls and could see the mist from miles away.We dressed up in our waterproofs while the rest stripped down to minimal clothing. We then finally walked towards the mighty falls..and were flabbergasted by the force of the water falling down and mist caused by the water going twice as high. The locals call the falls- MOSI-OA-TUNYA, which means the smoke that thunders'. Apparently the mist was even more as the rivers were flooded since the heavy rains a few weeks ago. The falls were also breath taking…don't know how else to describe them.We initially took lots of pictures while dry but once we walked closer to the falls we got drenched by the mist…felt like we were under a cloud of heavy rain…so decided to store our cameras away.We saw baboons mating…what a treat…lol. They were huge…they were probably as tall as us if they were on two feet.
Grabbed a quick lunch at debonairs and had a sub after ages.We then went towards the banks of the Zambezi River where we set up camp at the Waterfront. It was already 330pm and most wanted to go on a booze cruise by 4pm so they all rushed to get ready while we just chilled. We had a quiet few hours where we showered and then sat by the river with a bottle of wine and enjoyed the sunset.Had dinner and then joined the boozers at the disco which didn't last for long as most were in bed by 9pm.
