We had a nice sleep in this morning until 10am. We felt like we could have slept all day- we were still tired when we got up! We had a chill out in bed for a while and didn't rush to go anywhere. We still have 3 full days left and just planned on chilling and catching up with ourselves for the time here! We headed out just before 12 and walked down a different main road to the main beach area.
We stopped on the way to book the bus to Bangkok which cost us 1200 bhat each ( £24) each. It is an overnight double decker air con coach, so should be okay. We get picked up from our accommodation at 3.30pm on the 14th and arrive in Bangkok at 6am on the 15th- some long journey that!!
For the next couple of hours we just walked around the streets, having a nosy in different shops and markets and stopping for a rest and some shade! It was such a warm a day again! I had a quick dip in the sea (I was desperate and couldn't find a toilet!). The sea and beach was very nice here- we are going to have a beach day on the last day.
We had a walk into the big shopping complex again to have another look around and use the toilet! We looked around at the different shops and then went to the top floor so see what their bowling and cinema was like. We saw that Taken 3 was out in the cinema and was on in an hour (5.10pm) so when they told us it was showing in English, we decided to go for it! We went and got some snacks from the shop and then bought an extra large popcorn each for the cinema which was more than enough!! The cinema cost us 180 bhat each (£3.60) and a massive popcorn was 120 bhat (£2.40)- it was so cheap!! The cinema was also much better than ours at home- the seats where a bit like car seats and you could lean then right back. Nobody in Thailand must like sitting near the front of the cinema as you paid 40p extra to sit nearer to the back! Just before the film started a notice came on the screen saying 'please stand to respect the kings anthem' and everybody in the cinema stood up- including us. It was the most surreal thing and showed just how much thai people love their king! We had noticed everywhere that there were monuments for him and his picture was outside everything, but this just showed the extent of respect for him. It was so bizarre for the cinema!
The film was really good and when we came out it was dark and about half 7. We were both so full from all the popcorn that we couldn't eat any dinner yet, but it would be too far to walk back to the room to get ready to come back to the market, as the cinema was literally opposite. So we went to the market and bought our food- sushi and chicken and rice again for both of us- and headed back to the room with it to eat it later.
After Skyping everybody, including gran Deane- we had our dinner and got sorted again for the next day to go to Phuket town.
