Hervey bay was our next stop and again for the sixth night in a row we were going to camp, the difference here being we'd done an awful sleeper bus last night for 12 hours from Airlie beach.
We had a difficult start as we were dropped off at 5.30am having had no sleep and were unable to check into the campsite until 7.30am at the earliest. We found the campsite pretty easily but were regretting not booking into a hostel for at least a half decent nights sleep. It was nice to see the campsite was good though, it was sat on the beach with good BBQ facilities, large kitchen and fridge space and we even had a common room to watch TV. The TV passed an hour or so as we sat for the site to open.
Once the tent was up we hoped to grab a little sleep but the tent was already far too hot to sit in never mind sleep so we did some washing and set off to get a bus into town, it never came so we walked instead hoping to find a hostel for tomorrow night.
The walk must have been at least an hour in the blazing heat so we were stuck what to do as we defiantly needed a bed but couldn't get there.
Anyway we managed to sort out a lift for the morning so went down to the beach, which was literally 30 metres away and had a paddle.
We had a BBQ for tea in true Aussie fashion, sausages and Alcohol.
