As expected, due to the heat we didn't get much sleep last night. We met with Mel and Amy for breakfast and at 9.30 we set off on the fishing trip with high hopes! After about an hour and no fish in sight, we moved further up river to another spot. Again we fished for about 30 minutes and reeled in our rods again to find Rach had caught a fish, it was so small she didn't even realise! As it turned out, sadly it was the only catch of the day. For a late lunch, we sat on the boat and had a fish BBQ, the idea was we would cook the fish we had caught earlier in the day, the guy must not have had much faith in us as he brought plenty of fish along on the boat. We continued to fish until about 5.00pm, when the four of us arrived home sunburnt and tired.
After tea, we booked a coach ticket to leave tomorrow a 8.00am, for a 12 hour journey to the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh. At about 9.00pm and with the power still on, we decided to play cards back in the room. After two months of carrying them around, we found there were three missing from the pack. We laid back under the mosquito net to see a lovely fat cockroach above. Tom tried to flick it out of the window from inside the net and failed. The bloody thing the flew around the room and landed by the door, tom got out from the safety of the net with Rach obviously still sat inside helpfully instructing and managed to get the cockroach outside. With the power now out we spent the rest of the night thinking cockroaches were flying round the room.
