We got up ready to check out of the apartment at 8.30am. Then we walked to the bus stop where the Greyhound bus was picking us up for Mission Beach. It was past the lagoon and took 30 minutes to walk there with all our bags. It was so hot as well. Not nice to walk in 35 degrees heat with all our bags. The Greyhound bus was supposed to come at 9am but it was 2 hours late due to a fault with the bus. Not a good start to the day. Finally the bus arrived and we got on our way. It took 2 hours from Cairns to Mission Beach and we arrived here around 1.30pm. We got a free shuttle to our hostel - Mission Beach Retreat where we are staying for 1 night. We checked into our 8 bed dorm room. Then we went to the supermarket - Woolworths to get some food supplies. We headed back to the hostel and went down to the beach for some sunbathing. The hostel is located next to the beach. After we had finished at the beach we walked down the street to have a look around but there isn't really much here apart from a few shops and restaurants. You can do sky diving and island hopping to Dunk Island but thats about it to do here. People tend to not stay in Mission Beach for long so thats why we are only staying for 1 night to see what it is like. In the evening we cooked dinner and played some darts. A girl cut herself and fainted by the sight of blood which wasn't good. She had to go to hospital as the cut was so deep. We chilled out around the hostel and went to bed.
