Tuesday
Another interrupted night. This time we were woken at about 3am by an alarm. Martin thought it was my phone so I got up but no messages. It was 3 beeps every 30 seconds and after turning off the power, water, lights etc all one at a time, we were very frustrated when the alarm continued. Martin thought it was coming from the air conditioner (which wasn’t on as we weren’t even on 240 power). He took the filter off and touched a wire and the alarm stopped. By this time it was 4.30am and I checked the weather app for the temperature. A very chilly “-0.8 but feels like -3.1”⛄️. Back to bed for us to try and warm up.

After breakfast we are sitting around camp talking and waiting for Tina and Brad and Leanne and Ron to arrive when we hear a very loud ripping sound. Everyone is up looking around and we see a willy willy
