At 3:30am we arrive in Chumphon where the Koh Tao people get off. We are transferred to a van with seats in the back with about 40 other people. We drive for about 30 minutes before arriving at the ferry port. In the van there's a French man who has probably been drinking, singing very loudly! We think he's quite funny :P

At the ferry port we get our sticker for the Ferry to Koh Tao and we are told to wait until 6:30am for our ferry. Find a bench to make a bed on for the next couple of hours. Get to sleep for an hour maximum!

Wake up at 5:40am and go to see the sunrise over the sea and take photos :)

At 6:15 we board the boat and we sit in the "VIP" section which means we have to pay 30baht. If you don't pay you have to sit at the bottom of the boat or outside, which most decide to do.

Get about 2 hours sleep on the ferry and wake up at 9am needing the loo! I have to clamber over sleeping backpackers on the floor of the outside of the ferry. The toilet is a raised squat toilet which is permanently flushing and particularly difficult to use whilst on a boat.

Go back to my seat and update my journal from the past 2 days as Koh Tao is coming into view :)

Get off the boat and we are greeted by lots of taxi people and more importantly, SUN! Walk about 10 minutes in the heat to find our hostel with the help of a few passers by. We arrive at "Mania Guesthouse", check in and drop our stuff off before heading straight to the beach, if we can find one!

We bump into a British lady who tells us the best beach within walking distance. Walk there, drop our stuff off and jump in the sea! The sea is lovely and warm and has lots of pretty fish swimming about.

Back at the room earlier Rikka noticed she'd lost 2000baht so she wasn't very happy :(

Go for lunch quickly at 1pm then back to the beach for another few hours. We realise we are getting burnt so head back to the room at about 4 for showers.

Go through and admire our purchases from the holiday. I think I've bought about 35 things. Message Aaron about possible plans for when he gets here.

Go out and watch the sunset at the beach after hiding in a shop with air con to cool down in. Eat dinner at Safety Stop Pub - I ordered a vegetable Panang curry which was really tasty!

Go back to the room at 8 and start to type up my journal from the last few days. It takes me an hour and then I decide to upload them tomorrow, I'm shattered!

Bed at 9:15pm!
